On the way back, we have lunch at a deli and talk a bit about the trip and the
personalities of the people. All I can say for sure is: People are strange.
In the afternoon, we motor over to Chevron to get some 130 gallons more diesel. I want
to stop by a couple of nearby yacht brokers and check out a few boats, but there is no
time for that so we continue without delay to Anthony's next to the Star of
India in downtown San Diego for some nice sea food (my treat, USD 133).

After dinner, Ken, and Ashikin walk around downtown looking for something fun to do.
Ashikin doesn't want us to go too far, so we eventually end up at the Elephant &
Castle just across the restaurant were we ate earlier. Ashikin returns to the ship
while Ken and I have a few pints talking about the trip and life in general. Afterwards, I
find out that we only were a couple of blocks away from the famous Gaslamp Quarter where
all the nightlife is. Oh well, at least now I know better.
The blisters burst and my fingers have started aching slightly, so I redress with a
topical antibiotic before going to bed.
